Interesting mercury coach lantern fixture
I had noticed this several times over here but had not yet managed to get a photo of it. This is strange as it is just a common plastic outdoor fixture (designed for filament/CFL lamps) which has been converted to run a mercury lamp, presumably with a remote ballast. This looks like a conversion a lighting enthusiast would do! This is owned likely by the shop it is on.

Certainly not something you see every day.

It’s brave to want to run a mercury lamp in a plastic version!, it reminds me of the 125 watt Kev crammed in the one at his folks house! Wink

This looks great running MV. It's practically identical to the lantern I have out in the back garden.

I think a similar mod is in order? Smile
