neat finds! are these an eBay find or a trade with a fellow collector? I know FunkyBulb (Jeremy) has a number of cases of these in 400W BT28 "cram bulb" and 175W sizes but they are both clear, its a bit odd seeing one of these Sylvania branded, Mexican made ones where sold here under the Osram name, but in the US coated metal halide is somewhat uncommon and yeah I need to get some 175W Metal halide lamps in the collection now I have a ballast for them!

Come from a lot of 3 from eBay. The 3rd was one of those 250w metalarcs that have the bent arc tube which I already have one of.
I'd love to get hold of some nice half coated old style Westinghouse BT mercs.

Sorry Mark, the penny has only just dropped that it was you that bought these! I'm glad that they have gone to a good home of a fellow collector! As you say the 175W lamp will be a good test for the CWA ballast - I got one too but haven't had the chance to try it yet.

Yes, I have cases of 6 packs of clear 175 watt MH and several cases of Cram MH. If u want I can send a case of mix 175 watt lamps
