DIY 250w MBF & MBI Gearbox V2.0: Internals.
Showing the internals of this DIY gearbox for running 250w MBF lamps as well as MBI lamps when the Philips SI51 ignitor is used which is activated by a non-latching toggle switch.
The ballast is a Tridonic OMB250 unit which was well used when I got it and when I was removing it from the old box the terminals fell to bits so I had to add some replacement screw terminals.
As always, wired in tri-rated cable with ferrules on any conductor that goes into any screw terminals and I have also soldered any spade and ring connectors after I have crimped them.
Some people frown on that but meh...
