The sad remains of some of Cambridge's iconic main road lanterns
At the museum of technology in Cambridge. This just saddens me, there used to be hundreds upon hundreds of these old columns, mainly with either BTH/AEI "Amber" lanterns, Thorn Alpha 9s (the remains of both which can be seen here...) and Philips MA90s (I believe the original lanterns were the Ambers.) When they were replaced in 2012-2016 as part of an upgrade programme (thankfully not with LED) some lanterns were saved, but as far as I know only these 3 columns were saved.
