A completely LED-free supermarket!
What was initially a quick snack run instead turned into me gazing around this supermarket, which amazingly for 2023 is completely LED-free! It felt like stepping back in time to the early 2010's. The bulk of the supermarket had T5 louvers, the back and entrance was lit by PL cans and wall-washers and a slightly elevated section was lit by low colour temperature metal halide lamps (sadly not pictured here). A lovely sight, this may well be one of the last supermarkets I ever see like this...

The dutch don't rush into things and are fond of getting value for there money so will only be replaced when it's actually life expired...

We should have followed their example here....

Agreed, I hate the practice of replacing things that still have plenty of life and can't believe that such a practice is 'green' either.

Indeed, I still saw lots of old lighting in use in the Netherlands. As they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it!
