Old non-compliant 8w Exit fitting still in use
This is on my University campus, I had walked past it meaning to photograph it but because there's usually a few people around I hadn't yet had the opportunity. I'm surprised that this fitting still appears to be maintained, considering it has been a required regulation for quite a number of years now to have the "running man" on all emergency exit signs.

Anyone know what font they used on these? I wouldn't mind making some signs like this!

Emergency Lighting Products (Croydon) fitting that. They started making them to that design in the 70's. It's been a requirement since the late 90's for fittings to use the pictogram legends.

This is just the picture of proper quality emergency lighting, that's now sadly long gone! I've got a very similar Bardic 308 bulkhead, possibly could have been made by this company?

The bases were used by several manufacturers. The label gives away the fact it was Emergency Lighting (Croydon) as I have some NOS fittings just like this one. Made in 1978 - a year before I was born.

Ah makes sense! Nice finds with the NOS ones, got any photos?
