Mmmmmmmmm it just keeps on going!
It certainly does. It just instant starts now, the starter dont even need to kick in.

Thats a sign of the argon gas pressure dropping I believe however I may be wrong. Being absorbed by the phosphor and being trapped underneath the sputtering.

Those wear marks are fantastic!
thats probably done more hours than a Led has managed... Awesome ageing
It's done more hours than lots of Led's!
Lol at kev it'll outlast most LEDs
Woah!
Still going strong, wonder how much longer it'll carry on for...
I've decided to see how many hours more it has left, so its now in the CPS48, which i'll light at every given moment I can. Right now the cathodes are glowing really blue, and both have a noticeable flicker to them.

Just look at the state of it! How long did it last then, David?
Probably still going
Yes it’s still working, the glow bottle now kicks in when switched on, but even then that’s only been recent, it normally just instant starts.

Those Osram and Wotan tubes were certainly made to last. I recently got a few new ones, it's good to know they last so long.
