Inside the new fluorescent shed 2023

due to the lanterns collection exploding into what it has become today, space had fast run out for them, and I was losing access to my collection. In the lanterns shed two shelves were being used for these fluorescent tubes and fittings, space which was now desperately needed for the lanterns. It meant that the last of the three planned sheds had to become priority.

Where this shed stands is where a much older and former collection shed was, a 6' by 4' shed which had long been overfilled, hence the main lanterns shed being built. In March, the roof had begun to collapse in, prompting me to take out the solar lights I had put in there over the Winter, and emptying the shed of all the surplus lanterns also residing in there. No more than two days after I emptied it, that shed collapsed, so once the ground was cleared, I immediately set to work levelling the ground in preparation for this new 8' by 6' shed to be built. Once built and painted, racking was installed, the shed wired up, and then all my fluorescent stock transferred over from the loft, work shed and lantern shed. It was then that I realised just how much I'd underestimated the quantity of the lighting I had, especially after buying in around 300 tubes from a closing down business.

There's a few outstanding jobs left on this shed, I need to restore one or two fluorescent fittings on the tube testing wall, as well as wire it all in properly and sort the light switches out, and install some outside lighting.
