Osram Optimum Minor
|
This is an example of a Osram Optimum Minor, a lantern from Australia, and all I can say is what a shame it wasn't ever offered in the UK, because its a superb looking lantern.
Its an extremely simple lantern, featuring a pressed anodised aluminium canopy and bolted on spigot (Thorn Beta 9) a hinged bowl with refractor plates not too dissimilar to a Thorn Alpha 3, the bowl clip is the same as the GEC Z9582, and comes geared for a 50w MBF/U lamp, hence the 'M50' suffix. The gear tray hinges down, and the photocell plugs in and locates with the clear plastic dome atop the canopy. I've never ever seen photocells that look like these before, so will be kept extremely safe and out the way. Thankfully because its NOS, I won't be required to do any work to it whatsoever.
