GE colour 29 36W T8 tube
Now this tube was in the conservatory fixture from when I was in Montessori nursery school days up until my last year at uni because I wanted to preserve it

So I dug it out and ran it in the Crompton Crompack 4s that is my main light in my room

Halophosphor Warm White is a lot refreshing compared to Triphosphor in my opinion

Perfect combination a with a GB GE tube and Crompack 4! I've got this exact same set up with one of my Crompack 4's (the emergency converted one) just with a diffuser added on too Cool

Thanks so much Cool I've just noticed how that GB GE made tube is heavier compared to the Hungarian made GE tube that I took out Smile also I happen to get another copy of that GB GE made tube from another identical fixture to the one in the conservatory, from the car boot sale last year

Yeah I thought that too, the glass seems thicker on the GB ones! Good to hear you've got another one too, they are nice tubes tbh. Smile I had to switch to using them on that EM batten as it kept running the Hungarian ones in cold cathode mode on EM and killing them (both 36W T8's and 40W T12) but for some reason the GB made GE's work perfectly on it! Confused Smile

That's pleasing to know the GB made GE tubes work perfectly without the risk of cold cathode damage - how long did the Hungarian tubes last before going EOL?
