Philips 35w Deco Spiral Gold decorative lamp

I have been after one of these lamps for years, after having seen one on display in an antique shop (and being rather rudely told it wasn't for sale!) A few days ago this one appeared on Ebay rather out-of-the-blue and I managed to get it for a ridiculously low price. Interestingly this was made in the same year and month as the one I saw all those years ago - these were much less common here in Britain than they were in the rest of Europe, where they were much more widespread.
