Indeed. I believe they even offered 400W SONs in retail packages here as well.

Cool! I don't recall any HID being in retail packaging here tbh, about the closest to it would be the slightly more fancy packets some of the 90's Philips MH lamps came in and also some of the Osram Powerball lamps (both with more colour/graphics on them) but I've never seen HID sold here with display windows etc like you'd see for retail.
