1000 Hours.
Today (13-05-26), I checked up to see how many hours the 50w Sylvania SON-E had clocked up so far in my patio Kingfisher Sloan globe lantern.
I was pleased to see that it had finally ticked over the 1000 hour mark!
I first installed the lantern and this little enclosure on the 8th of February and it has taken this long to clock that up on a 55lux photocell.
At first, it was clocking up about 14 hours a night but has been decreasing ever since as we head into summer and the nights get shorter.
In fact the nights are so short now I reckon this might have ticked over on Monday.

Total energy used so far is 74.4kwh for 1013.9 hours.

Cool, I was going to put an hour meter on my outside lighting but never got around to it! Wish I had now it’s an interesting idea Wink

Would be interesting to see what other people got with their chosen type of cell. A 20 lux cell would clock up far less than a 70!

Or Sangamo clock! Smile , mine is set like an LED cell, the cams are altered to come on last minute, (when almost totally dark), and go off the second there’s an inch of daylight! Although this doesn’t serve me very well when there’s a heavy rainy night, or a storm, as it’s usually pitch black before you get any lightning coming on! Rolling Eyes

I did want to use a 20 lux cell. I have one but I couldn't find it when I started the test and don't want to swap it now that it is going.
