10w Panasonic EFT10LE
2 x NOS Panasonic electronically ballasted CFL's.

Nice old Japanese lamps, had to get a couple myself.

I love the Japanese calligraphy moulded into the plastic base and also the blue insulating material in the cap that you often see in Japanese lamps.

The fact that is says "light bulb" on the package bugs me though lol... bulbs are for planting in the ground, lamps are for putting in lampholders!

These are very good lamps. Interesting color of box as well as it’s usually black and green! They look a lot newer than the ones I’ve found over the years?

These last incredibly well. The last one I had fail was a higher wattage version and despite years of frequent switches, there was hardly any blackening. It only failed due to loose solder joints.

Did you repair it?

Got it working but the actual tube got put in an SL. These Panasonics are quite hard to get open without destroying the glass and plastic base.

We broke the Panasonic tube when I tried to put it in a philips SL for him

Guessing these are glued together so not easy to repair?
Do these have any pre-heat? I've got some 20W ones from 1998 that are instant start. Interestingly the boxes on mine are the same design as these but blue instead of orange.

Nah the glass shade just pops out if you are careful
