2009 Iwasaki M250LE/G japanese colored MH lamp
Here you can see a 250W Japenese colored MH Lamp in the colour green.

Colored Metal halide lamps were always a rather nieche apllication especially for landscape, architechtual and stage lighting. The main drawback beeing that the colour produced by these lamps is rather washed out. Iwasaki is one of the manufacturers next to BLV that had a rather extensive variety of these lamps while many other manufactueres only oftered a basic range of 150-400W lamps.

This lamp is intended like most traditional MH lamps to be operated of a MB choke with a lamp voltage of 130V at a lamp current of 2.1A. It is fittetd with a glowbottle starter allowing direct replacement of a mercury vapour lamp.

That's very nice. Pity they're not something you'd find in the UK (in that format / make) as the colour actually looks rather good on that!

this one did come from Japan (via me Smile ) but you could find em in the UK, I fairly recently picked up a 400W version in blue from CP-Lighting Smile but ilike all Iwasaki stuff really, you had to go looking for it and they always were ££££! good to see it running and working! coloured lamps are always something a bit fun/special in their own right Smile

I have to say however, even though the colour looks very saturated here, the Osram and especially BLV lamps have a more staurated colour.
