This was made like this from new in just 16 days of 24/7 running, on a modified cfl ballast. Said ballast died unfortunately so I need to find out why before I continue this experiment.

This 4 watt sure packed a end bands, how often a 4 watt fitting is in UK?

You can get 4w fittings but all are battery or low voltage operated only. I made the fitting myself out of pvc trunking.
