Vintage 4-footer
Just got around to installing an eBay purchase I treated myself to three months back. It runs silently and as cool as a cucumber. It enjoyed 60 years of regular service in an office not far from where it was manufactured until a refurb prompted its removal and rescue by an on-the-ball employee. It's in remarkably good condition for its age.

This looks to be a very nice choke. If I was using this everyday I would wire it without any neutral supply to the ballast so the internal capacitor is not used. Wouldn't want the cap to go bad and destroy the whole choke Confused

It seems to be as good as gold. It was used daily before I got it and it's getting used almost daily since without a problem. I'll continue using it as nature intended I think. Smile
