NOS Bright Lights 40w W lamp
A find in a friends grandfathers garden shed (of all places) comes this incredibly rare and fragile W tube. To say I was amazed and shocked does not even cut it. I believe it to be a worker, though this is yet to be confirmed 100%. I have to admit, I don't think I will put power to it just yet, just because of its rarity.

I think I know what you mean, that 4 pin PL thing that went in spotlights?

This thing needs some more attention! I don't have a scooby what i'm looking at but it's mental!

Look through Dave's pics, he has/had a fitting for it too! Absolutely amazing looking thing it is

In some ways, it would be nice to see this and it's fitting at a meet, BUT, it's also fragile as fuck, so might not be the best idea sadly.

As good as seeing it in real life would be if I owned something like that i'd be terrified of breaking it. Be like taking a ming vase out for a walk!

I have lit the one working tube once, but I'm so apprehensive about lighting it just down to its rarity I won't be touching it again. I want to restore the fitting too, but I can't risk the tube being out the fitting, again due to rarity and fragility. I may bring the knackered one to the meet however and see if James Hooker can get it working again, one of the vacuum stems snapped off, i suspect from shock of transporting it home from my friends house.
