The gentle flicker as EOL approaches? Looks like it's done a few days work that one lol

With it being a mazda tube i would pullit incase it EOLs be a shame to let this beauty go eol

No sign of EOL; it's as steady as a rock. The phosphor damage is unreal though. Next to the cathodes it glows mercury green/blue like a clapped-out HP mercury vapour bulb. From there the phosphor is all but transparent and you can see the internal blue mercury vapour discharge column. Then the degraded phosphor leaves a red dominant glow. After that you get the dim deluxe warm white glow. The whole must be a third the brightness of a new triphosphor tube at best.

I did take this out of commission a few years back when it began to shown signs of EOL (orange hot spot beginning to hunt back and forth). I replaced it with a German Osram Warm White from Andy, which began to band virtually from week 1. It is now very ripe.
