Knightsbridge 6ft 30w LED Fixture Installed!
I'm finally getting around to rewiring the lighting circuit in my garage and replacing the HF T5's with an upgrade to SS T8/12's ;-)

As part of the rewire I was going to fit a couple of pendants so I could use incandescent or LED lamps to use when I just needed the light briefly, to save having to switch the fluorescents frequently. Then I remembered I had this, I got it basically for free as it was randomly thrown in with this lot.

Fitted it and tried it today, what can I say... Well it works, and the colour temperature is nice being a warmer white, appears slightly warmer than 4000k. It's a bit glare-riddled at the minute as the diffuser is missing. The fixture itself is surprisingly heavy and is reasonably thick steel. Probably on purpose as there is nothing in this, just an LED strip and a very small 30w driver. I bet they'll make them thinner once more people start buying them thinking the weight means it's good quality!

Anyway it's there to stay on long term test. We'll see how it goes!

lol yeah It's a bit glare-riddled, but in fairness that's due to the missing diffuser. Oh and don't worry the main lights in the garage are being upgraded to SS T8/12's Cool (Description now updated)

I have to admit, I`ve fitted some circular LED fittings in our Trafford workshop this morning Embarrassed , we`re knocking all the walls down to make the office bigger, the diodes themselves run a really nice neutral white colour, but then their spoilt with this opal bowl that make them look almost daylight! Mad

But it's Shitesbridge, so it probably won't be for much longer!

It's switched frequently and left running for both short and long spells. I really want it to die but it isn't doing so lol

The update nobody's being waiting for: this still works fine. I fitted a diffuser strip over the LED's too so it's no longer a glare bomb
