Well over 200 tubes still available in York (15-6-17).... See my recent post in the 'for sale eBay/elsewhere' section on the forum, the Gumtree listing for 'Hundreds of tubes in York': Today I decided to give the seller a quick call to enquire about the 8-footers, honestly I wasn't really that bothered, but when they said they had 50, I was a bit more interested!! We agreed a price and I was on my way... Turns out there was more than 50, I reckon at least 100, haven't counted yet! Went into their barn to check out the rest of the pile, wow! A full box of GB Philips 2ft 40w/25, a full box of GE 20w/38 Kolorites, a full box of GB Philips 20w/29, I think 4x full boxes of Hungarian (GE?) Osram 4ft 40w/23, a pile of 90's Philips 36w/830, 36w GB GE Polylux plus loads more. So is anyone near York, as there's lots available still and they're very reasonably priced, I didn't even feel the need to haggle with the seller. A list below is what's still available, that I can remember anyway: - GB Philips 2ft 40w Natural/25, all loose there will be loads, at least a box worth I think - GB Philips 20w/29, again they're all scattered about but reckon there's loads - Osram 15w/23, a full box of 25 - Osram 13w/23 T5 full box - Osram 4ft 40w/23 made in Hungary four boxes I think - Loads of French Philips 36w/830 New Generation, some of these appear lightly used - box of Sylvania 36w/840 - loads of other random goodness & stuff I've forgotten, get yourself there!

I know I couldn't believe it when I arrived and saw the pile! It took well over an hour to rummage through it all and sort what I wanted, and that was before I even started loading the van! The seller offered me all this pile you see here for a very reasonable amount on top of what we'd already agreed for the other pile of tubes I wanted, I really had to be firm and turn it down as I just don't have the space Sad

I really hope someone here can get them all. As much as I'd of loved to get the whole lot, I just don't have the time and space at the minute

I think they'd bought some land behind their house that had a few old barns on it, and these were in one of them. I can only guess whoever previously owned them cleared out a wholesaler or something?

Looks like some of them were ex. MOD stock from the 996 NATO number on that bottom box

@Andy, I think you're correct. In the lot I took, I found some with RAF labels attached

This lot 14x GB Philips 125w/29 (16 in pic, two were smashed), loads of GB Osram 125w/30, and a handful of others including: GB GE 125w/35, W.German Sylvania 125w/ww, the odd 100w/35 GE, and a few 125w/35 Osram GEC.

I wonder what ever happened to these... They got relisted a while ago, the pile was still stacked exactly the way I left it. Can't find the advert now though. Anyone here buy them?

Well you will choose to live aallllllll the way down there lol! In hindsight I should have got all the smaller tubes and left the 4-footers which most people have millions of anyway. Oh well
