Parmar Venture QG075K245 SRS Ballast (08/2005) This was one of my first uploads to LG, and was one of the first lighting components I rescued. It was only the back end of 2016, and I had no idea what this was lol, just thought it looked interesting (I was correct)! I've learned a lot in short space of time. So here it is, a better picture this time. A Parmar Venture SRS ballast for 5, 6 and 8ft 85w T12 tubes. This must be one of the last SRS ballasts being manufactured, this one having August 2005 printed on it.

These are cool. And 2005? Awesome i thought the 1990s was the last time any SRs ballast was made! A load of the blown up thorn ones in the derelict ever ready factories had been replaced with these. I THINK theres a pic in my "ever Ready Factories" album, do you know where i could get one of these?

I don't unfortunately, I doubt they're still manufactured? I have seen them pop up on eBay from time to time however. I don't really want to part with this one, seeing as it's one of the only SRS ballasts I have that will do 5ft quietly lol

Looks very similar to those 18w sox ballasts i got a whie ago! They used a cap to up the open cicuit voltage.

I believe Venture continued to manufactie SRS ballasts right up to around 2010!
