290V across it eh? should be able to get that going on some current limited SOX leak ballast or MOT Smile would let the cathodes get up to temp so they dont sputter and should drive off impurities faster I imagine Smile

Keep it running for while then put it in your fitting while tube still warm. Run it for few days. I had revive my GEC 80 watt tube on 900 OCV slimeline ballast in overdrive to get 600 MA current it needed.
