Thorn PP2675, Rescued & Converted to SRS

When I got this fixture, it had all the cables chopped out and the original switch start ballasts in a box ready to be scrapped!

Luckily I got there first & rescued the lot. I've given it a quick coat of paint, and rewired it with 85w SRS ballasts. No cover sadly, I've got one from a 6' MK15 which will be fitted, just needs holes drilling in it

The fittings you aquire were certainly disposed of in a very odd way indeed

Yeah I think they were trying to separate the copper. Don't know why as the cable was probably worth a few pence and the ballasts would have been classed as mixed anyway so also worth very little.

What you going to do with the starter switch socket holes?

One of the starter holders has had its guts ripped out so I was thinking I'll just put some starters in for aesthetics only

...either that or I'll replace the broken one with one of my spare holders & fit LED 'starters' (fuses) for the supply to each ballast. I also need to add some kind of heat proof sleeving or heat shields for the cables running past the ballasts
