Capacitor will have a date on it, they date coded those.
|
|

37/95 on the capacitor, 46/95 on a printed label on the tray

All good except for the cap. Every Cambridge cap I’ve seen has been shot and I’ll bet this is no different love vivatronic starters

I didn't test the cap, but at least that wouldn't stop it working, just end up with a poor power factor. I suspect the bowl would end up UV damaged before The Vivatronic starter and SB ballast fail!

gotta love that Huuuuum when the viatronic does its stuff. I have a couple stashed here somewhere. Need to adapt one of my fittings with one (every room in my flat is lit by fluorescent tubes apart from one room)

There was a bent up 5ft gear tray the same as this in the local leisure centre skip a few months back (same place i got the glammox fittings from a few years ago) but it was badly bent up and the rest of the weather pack was smashed to bits as it had loads of stuff thrown on top of it so I got the vivattonic ignitor and left the rest

I bet said Vivatronic still worked fine Danny? I rescued a couple of late 90's Thorn Arrowslim 4ft fixtures today from... uhh... one of my own sheds! I think I'm gonna fit Vivatronics in them and install them in my garage. Yes the rather loud hum/buzz from a Vivatronic is quite exciting lol!

I’m not sure I’ve never tested it but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work tbh.
