Philips HPL 4 80W/642
Two new Philips 80w MBF/U lamps in colour 642 (>60% CRI 4200k)

The "4" refers to the recommended service lifetime of four years (for group relamping) in public lighting applications.

It seems that they have focused mainly on reducing early lamp failures as they claim figures of:
12,000 hours to 5% failures, 20,000 hours to 20% failures and 24,000 hours to 50% failures.
A standard 80w HPL-N is only rated at 16,000 hours to 50% failures.

The phosphor is also improved giving a much better CRI over the standard MBF lamps.

They sound quite nice. Can't find anyone with stock in the UK, but they are available from Germany.
