Wonder how long these will have left. Underground has some good stuff from what I have been told

They certainly look well looked after Very Happy

Looks like the 2nd row from the left is a bit overkill!

I suspect the underground will be fluorescent for a while yet. Most of what I saw was T8, fitted with Radium, Philips or GE tubes. Tons and tons of 2ft twins in the pedestrian walkways and 5ft twins at the platforms. All very well maintained, didn't see a single one out. I did see just one lonely 2ft T12, hanging on in there!

Can't remember which station it is, but one of the ones near Waterloo has a lobby lit with 2' T12's in 2' square fittings with clear glass covers and all still run on Transtart Quickstart gear. Were quite a few rectifying, but a lovely sight to see. Hopefully they'll be there for a while yet!

Wowzers, would have loved to have seen that!! The 2ft twins had plain glass covers, very cool looking things, quite large fixtures. Suspect they were HF though, starter holes were unoccupied & covered over & didn't notice any cathode flicker

Which station is this..? Don't recognise it from the photo.

One thing I've noticed is that they still have a lot of Walsall Gauge 13A sockets about the place carrying 110V supplies. Would love to get some double-fused versions of Walsall plugs, they'd be ideal for distribution from a centre-tapped transformer. Anyone seen any..? None to be had on eBay..

It wasn't at a station... We got off the tube at South Kensington and headed out towards the Natural History Museum pedestrian exit, it was along that route

Ah, I thought it was South Ken, we were there yesterday. I know exactly where you were now, it's taken from the junction of the ticket hall and the subway leading to the museums. Got some photos to post when we get back, it's a bit difficult from the hotel, the wifi doesn't like my phone and getting them off it onto the laptop is a bit awkward Sad

Yeah that's the one. Cool look forward to seeing some pics
