GEC Europa, left behind

Been getting annoyed with myself recently about all the cool lighting shit I've left behind at various places that I could have easily got. Here's one of them; a picture I've just found of my garage at my previous house, it's an old two-tone end GEC Europa 65w complete with a Philips crimped cap 65/80w tube. But don't worry, I did bring 3x cheap crap T5 49w louvre things with me, doh!

Shame that old Europa looks in good nick too

Indeed it was. No knock-outs removed and only very minimal surface rust. It gets worse, I had another one of these, but one of the end caps was loose, can't remember if it was actually broken or if it was just the spring missing, anyway I skipped it Sad

We might have to banish you from the forum for a crime like that! Shocked

In my defense, even though this was only about three years ago, I didn't really know what it was then. This fascination with vintage lighting developed much later than many here

I've been guilty of this kind of thing be it getting rid of things or not saving things in my younger days - the belief I was past lighting and that there were better things. It's an all too familiar story from others as well.

this is the guy who left a SS 50w arrowslim in a loft of his past residence, (fairly sure there was other gems in said loft) so yeah, been there, done that!

We had two mint condition Atlas Superslims that got skipped about 15 years ago when the lean-to garage got demolished and replaced with a proper one and extension...
