Both my Courtney Pope 8ft twin fixtures working!

Finally got both of these working. The right one with a pair of Philips 80w T5 HF ballasts to run 85w tubes, and the left is now 125w SRS courtesy of a pair of BNOS Parmar ballasts I got from eBay.

Still a few issues to sort; on the HF one, one of the Rock lamp holders isn't making good contact and has burnt up a little and the 80w T5 HF ballasts seem to over-drive the 85w tubes somewhat too. Putting them on the power meter reveals about 100w being drawn from the supply for each tube. With a T5 tube fitted, about 83 watts is drawn at full brightness. For the 125w SRS one I need a pair of 7.8uF capacitors, I've fitted some 8uF for now but the tubes are being over-driven a bit.

Very nice! Interesting that the HF ballasts draw about 100w running the 85w T12 tubes.

99% sure my power meter is correct, it's usually pretty accurate. The tubes do look very bright & the ballast buzzes a little. Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, might try a different type of HF ballast, or I might just switch start the fucker and use 100/125w tubes!
