Brand new Urbis Altra, lit
Found IN THE SKIP, and subsequently saved, this Urbis Altra actually now gets a chance at life. Originally taking 24w PL-L, it was converted to 36w PL-L because the lamp compartment looked rather wasted, as well as the fact the HF driver was actually broken, falling apart on me as soon as I hinged the gear tray. Its now a switch start lantern, and works very effectively. The optics easily increase the light output, spreading it evenly around the area.

The first power up of a new acquisition is always a great anticipation, and this one didn't disappoint at all. The starter kicked the tube into life almost immediately. The tube itself is unbranded, and is daylight but with more of a bluer tint, suggesting its more around 14,000K colour temperature. Its a very bright lantern, and lit the room up without any issue. The reflectors further added to its output, increasing the lumens output further. Overall a very well designed lantern killed off by LED too quick.

I'll have to bring it to the next meet to show people, it looks way past 6500K daylight colour, its got more of a bluer tint to it than daylight.
