Maybe an old FL street lamp of some kind or one of the old 2’ 40W bulkheads like I have?

My netaline takes 40w's and has those exact lamp holders.

The lamp holders are branded 'NETTLE', I don't know if they're BLI made items or not. This tube is a 2ft 40w so won't be from a Netaline. As Kev says, it's probably been in a street light or illuminated sign or similar. It's had Terry clips holding it, and the corrosion of the caps indicates it's been outside

Imagine cutting down a netaline to fit this tube in it! A 2 foot 40w netaline would be awesome
