Hunts capacitors in the T&Y fittings
Original to the fittings and untouched since installation, all 6 of these capacitors seem to be faultless, telling me how little use these have seen in the time they've been installed. the overall immaculate condition is seen here too, this is repeated over all the fittings, which in this day and age is an almost impossible feat.

The capacitor's capacity is a hit and miss indicator for use hours, it's more of an indicator for the cap quality and possibly for voltage at the site where the lantern lived.. From 2x40 (2x36) lanterns that i put into my collection around 2014, there were ones that were in full day full work weeks use from 1984 and the caps in them measured around 7.8uF, and ones from 2005 and the caps measured 2.5uF. All rated 8uF
