Some tubes on test in the transtar ballasted fitting
Just to see how they band up. This light is on whenever I use the computer.

Not sure how long the Platino will last as they are rather crap or so I have been led to believe.

They can last from anything like 4 weeks to 18 months + in my experience

I know lol. The only reason I put it in is because this fitting only works with two tubes in and i really want to age only the unbranded one which came in a chloride branded fitting.

These Platino were made in the Crompton factory (after the brand stopped buying in from the very poor manufacturer who used a black etch). User knowledge of these lamps, made between 2002 and 2004 is that they are far better, and many of them ran to 8000 hours on SS, burning 24/7. Some band beautifully on HF. Good luck with the tests Jon
