Cooker hood 15w fluorescent conversion
I have just had to replace a cooker hood that was falling to pieces. The original light in this hood was a 28w halogen candle bulb in the middle of the plastic panel. It produced a poor, uneven light. It looked like the light had been added as an afterthought with no reflector so was quite inefficient, over 50% of the light seemed to light up the inside of the hood. So it was crying out for a conversion to a 15w fluorescent! Here it is with a custom made reflector with the gear mounted on the back. Looks much better now!

Thanks! Already got under unit lights, they are MR16 with Philips LED. Have had the LEDs for years, they were from Ebay, £4 each part used, they were a real bargain at the time as I think Philips MR16 were £15 each so would have been prohibitively expensive for the 3 I needed. I also have 8w fluorescent lights on top of units, must post some pics of the kitchen lighting some time.

Looks good rob! Reflector is good I was wondering if Philips made the 15W reflector lamp this small?
