Fluorescent Yard Lighting #1
This was actually meant as a desk light. but it was something I picked up cheap at a garage sale (25-cents if I remember right), and I installed it outside as a yard/security light.

Was originally F40T12/magnetic RS, but I converted to F32T8 HF (for energy saving, and for cold weather reliability)

Its got some slight rust around the edges...only because It layed in the yard for basically a whole summer.

Meh I would of probably kept it F40!

Main problem with that is RS ballasts (and in particular the LPF single lamp ones like this fitting had) suck in the cold Laughing
I could technically stick a T12 lamp in it & it'd work just fine (just be a bit dim...I've actually thought about doing so, simply for that reason)
