Glowing Snow...
This was actually taken back in the spring...one night a fair amount of snow was predicted, so I took a 2xF32T8 WeatherPack-type fitting & left it out on the deck (turned off)

The next morning I fired it up to give this glowing-mound-of-snow effect LOL

I wonder how cold you would have to get a FL for it to not start?

@Kev:
All depends on the ballast: Rapid-start doens't like it once you get down below 10F/-12C, and once you're to 0F/-18C forget about having it light(unless its a cold-rated HO RS!)
Even HF Instant-start can begin getting picky about starting below -10F/-23C (really depends on the ballast, some will still go at -20F/-29C) Any fluorescents are sooo dim they're pretty much worthless once you get below zero ...
ofcourse I can't blame any ballast for not wanting to fire up in those tempratures, so f***ing cold, I hate it myself Laughing .
