Yes have you completed this yet? I sent you those ballasts a good few years ago now! Do you still have the 8' set up too?

Yep this is completed & gets used atleast a few times per week. The 8' is still on the board I originally mounted it to for testing Laughing still running the same 7' 100w lamp too. Like this one it gets used atleast a few times per week.

Just need a 5 or 5.5 uF cap to run HO 110 watt tubes. Then u got your self a SS 8 footer in USA Cool

@Funkybulb: I recently tested the 8-footer with a 5uf & a 110w lamp Smile

I might eventually try one of the 5' ballasts in this pic with a 5' HO lamp & a 2or3 uf (ballast says 5uf, but with that it gets way too hot)
Not really a big deal since I found a deal on a case of the proper 58w T8's anyway.

How did your Test result turn out with your 110 watt HO Jay? I have A SRS ballast some where that will run a 5 foot HO lamp.

A bit slow to fire up the first time (but I was also using it to test some new lamps that I'd got cheap at the ReStore...easier using that than digging out my HO fitting!). After that first time they fired up fine Smile Temperature of the ballast seemed to be ok too (but I also didn't let it run real long)

I've also have a pair of SRS ballasts that'll run a 4' or 5' HO lamp. One of these days I need to build something for those. They will not fire up mounted on a board, deff need a grounded piece of metal below the lamps! I've got a of those pic somewhere, need to find it & post here...
