Prolly using F96T8 4 lamp IS ballast? Wired in series pair each? Nice display set up u have here

Its actually a T12 6-lamp HF sign ballast that can run anything from 18-inch to 10 foot lamps ... as long as total length does not exceed 32-feet (and is a minimum of 8-feet)
LightBulbFun   [10 Oct, 2015 at 07:19 PM]
the feet thing is a bit of miss leader since you for example could have a F90T17 witch is 65V 1.5A and 5ft long or a F20T12 witch is 60V 370Ma and 2ft long... but both have close arc voltages so on a constant current they are the same "length" if that makes sense considering this is for HO T12s if a 4ft HO lamp is 85V and a F32T8 is about 135V then you effectively have 44 Feet of lamp on that ballast right now...

Nice layout of the colours Cool

@LightBulbFun: Actually it lists both Normal & HO T12 lamps (and really just drives then at normal) so think of it as a Normal-Output T12 ballast ... Usually I just run 6 T8 lamps on it (the 7-lamps was only for testing). What I do for when trying something like this is make sure that I'm below the ballast's line-current rating (thus I know I'm not overdriving it)

If it was an actual T12-HO ballast, I bet those T8's would be really bright Cool (and probably wouldn't last too long being run at something more than 800ma! LOL)

If one lamp failed jay would the other 6 go out too? Or would they remain lit
XmasLightGuy   [11 Oct, 2015 at 03:56 AM]
@Danny: If one failed, the rest would all remain lit & become just slightly brighter (standard way the HF instant-start ballasts work here).

...except if either one of the last 2 failed, they'd both go out as they are in series.
