Has Anyone Ever Figured Out...

...why the ends fall off (from just sitting in a box)??

Left shows something I know allot of you have seen .. an end that ringed off
Right shows the other end of the lamp

In this case its just a average/nothing-special lamp, but...
* Usually seems to happen to something more uncommon/rare
* And most common with GE's (this 'Ace' is actually made by GE).

Sad only because it never got the chance to be used.

Itâ€™s increadibly annoying when this happens just lost a very old Atlas super 5 deep cap in this way!

I find this happens more on GE than sylvania. Also GE can ring off spirally that keeps ringing off; Making more of a mess when moving a tube around.

@Kev: thats the worst when you lose a tube like that in this way.
