Cryselco contamination
This tube runs fine but its the most contaminated tube I managed to revive. It wanted 7000v just to strike with 2000v arc voltage when it was in its contaminated state.

I say! Does it ever warm up properly on normal gear now or is it always 'poorly'?

It's allways like this. That discolouration is precipitate from whatever gas entered the lamp. Seems.like it reacted with something.
