wow it the Finned OV50, my favorite type of street lights, sadly they are becoming very rare.

@Funkybulb: Yeah, nice old lights!, and certainly rare to see (these are the only I know of here)

A sad update on these: As of sometime in the past month, they've been replaced by LED

Interesting that the mercs lasted as long as the past month , we lost all our mercs in my town in the early 80s

Probably the only reason they survived so long is they're in an old shopping center's parking-lot.
The store these were in front of was a grocery store a long time ago, that closed and it sat empty for years. Eventually a thrift-shop opened in the space (then in the past couple years that closed, and was replaced by a different thrift shop)

All the mercs along public roads in my area (and the city where this pic was taken) were replaced by HPS/SON, in the same time period yours were
All that remain are those on private land, like old shops, or stuff like apartment buildings.
