Mercury vapor ballast from AEL 125
I was dropping off load of Recycle
spot damage AEL 125 Mercury vapour
400 watt street light. well since it was
damage. i ripped the door off to shave
off 10 pounds as i am trading off weight
that i took off my truck. so this ballast cost
me $1.75 for 25 pounds of wieght that ive
traded off in junk metal. not bad for mercury
ballast. that been banned sinceb 2008 in USA.

Look at the exposed windings! I feel cheeky for looking! Embarrassed

This one looks a lot older than the average US, open coil ballast?

I think this ballast is contstant wattage isolated. either this ballast use in places where two live wire powering up the street lantern. i will have to start with 120 volt work my way up. and since it my first type of ballast for me to play with. all i know it ballasted a 400 watt mercury lamp.

Lasagafeild the expose windings are very common in american street lantern. and none of this terminal blocks on the ballast. only terminal block in this fitting is when connect your wires up to this lantern. also dont bother using cutouts
in base of the poles. most street lighting crew working this all hot and live anyway.
