Both glowing orange? I suspect its contaminated, the brown ring an the very end of the tube proves this. if you have an electronic ballasted fitting, try it in that.

odd, ive used a fair few of these, and all lasted pretty well.. pop into asda and get yourself a asda 8w T5

Doesn't work on electronic ballasts either. Has an open circuit cathode now.

I'd complain to cp tbh. It's possible it had a slow air leak

It's certainly worth a try, I am a regular customer of theirs and for that matter order the lighting for work from them also. No doubt they will try and say that I have abused it in some way. I did find a spare one I didn't realise I had in 2700K which is something.

Sound like it leaked. I'd certainly complain, and do as Danny says if they need a photograph!
