2 sets of vintage Xmas lights
The lights on the left were bought in 1985 and those on the right are from 1986. Both are sets of 20, 12v LES bulbs and are used every year in the kitchen. I have a good stock of replacement bulbs!

Nice rob I love the old Christmas lights. Can you still even buy them like this? It's probably ALL led these days I'm guessing?

Not seen any for a while. And the new ones always have sequencers, I prefer them to be permantly on. Not so bad if they remember the setting when turned off, but I had one set that always defaulted to a really annoying flashing pattern which is the last thing you need when watching TV, finally got round to cutting off the contgrol box and wiring that set direct to the transformer this year.

Yeah, the old ones were better, with the star shape shades!, they use to put patterns on the wall when you had them on the tree.

My Grandma had a set from 1974 that saw annual use until 2011 when they randomly stopped working for no fathomable reason. I think I still have the spare bulb stock. Amazingly we could still buy them at the local post office.
