Christmas light flasher
I found this today in the box of Christmas decorations. It's a flasher from 1985. It's bi-metallic and gets warm, no electronics. The bulbs don't last as long using this with the constant on-off.

Seem to remember the fuse bulb took a hammering if you used one of these

Yes it didn't seem to do any of the bulbs much good, I ended up replacing the lot the following year and decided the flashing was annoying anyway.

A PWM dimmer that fades in and out the lamps would be cool... DIY project maybe Smile

Interesting little device. I use a computer for flashing the outside lights Smile that way I can flash as many sets as I want/need all together...
