Aqua-Signal 1044 24v DC Control gear
1 x Aqua-Signal 1044 24v DC marine fluorescent luminaire for 2 x 20w lamps.

Showing the control gear on the reverse of the gear tray.
Operates the lamps at 35khz and total system power is about 34w.
The startup is like a very fast SRS fade in.

These are incredibly robust IP67 fittings and can be found on ships all over the world.
They are available in a variety of control gear such as 240 and 110v AC in switch-start and HF. They are also, like this one, available in 24vDC.
The luminaire body is available in either 316 stainless or zinc plated steel.

Do the tubes work independently so if one fails does to other continue to work?

Removing one lamp causes the other to drop to about half power which is interesting. It may not do this with a failed lamp in as voltage is applied through the electrodes even during operation and as you can see from the wiring diagram both lamps have linked electrodes at one end.

Leave HF 24V. Maybe add 12V DC/DC convreter and battery terminals or a car lighter plug
