Bugger me. I never thought for one minute that was ready to go yet!

thats not a bad life for a modern sox, some don't even last a year. if i am correct its about 4000 hours per year so that would be 48 months for 16000 hours its just short of that at around 46 months which would be around 15333 hours

I’ve never had a Philips one go past four years in the 18s, only the Shaw Osrams did that!

I saw it start up last night and it did take a few seconds to ignite with a bit of flickering when it struck.

Looks like it went out proper. When you pull it out lets see a pic of the whole lamp. What is your plans for this next then?

Dam that’s a shame. I have a 2017 osram Shaw in my 18W! I’ll have to take a picture of it. So as TC says seems like it’s adverage life span?

I think these are rated for 18,000 hours to 50% failures so its done sort of allright. Was hoping to get 4 years out of it though. I whacked in a new lamp but I'm not sure if it's staying... I have that 35w SDW-T lamp and gear.
