1000w SON Low Bay anyone? :)
Giving my newly built 1000w SON gearbox a bit of work to do.
The lamp looks a bit silly in this low bay fitting which is usually only rated for a maximum lamp size of 400w!

Bit of a tight squeeze but she fits, barely. I've left the safety glass off to help keep it cool as it chucks out a serious amount of heat!

LOL thats quite amusing, it reminds me a long time ago when I had a similar low bay body that I managed to squeeze a 35W SOX lamp into quite nicely Smile I wonder if you could recess the socket so its flush with the "bulkhead" to give it better clearance? I would love to know how this whole setup would stand up if put into use I can see the paint getting a bit cooked!

Well I had to turn it off as the room was getting close to 30c... Laughing I could also smell burning, which was that wardrobe door behind which was almost smoking!
