Kingfisher Sloane Control Gear: Before
Showing the control gear with louvre stack and base removed.
The gear tray is spring loaded and clamps down onto the inner globe rim via 4 big 5mm hex bolts.

Choke is a re-braded Vossloh-Schwabe unit, ignitor is a BAG Turgi and lamp is a 70w Venture WhiteLux Plus*

IMO the lampholder is too low down. The arc tube is located barely inside the stack and most of the light shines through the translucent base of it.

*I thought it was but on closer inspection it was a 100w lamp! No wonder the light quality was horrible when I tested it!

Looks well built with decent quality control gear. Someone made a silly mistake shipping it with that 100W lamp! I wonder if others went into service with those incorrect lamps too.

It would have looked a shit installation if they did!
