Thorn OQ 1000 CSI PAR64 projector floodlight
An old spotlight for 1x 1000w CSI PAR64 lamp c/w glare shield.

A narrow beam high intensity projector with IP54 optical and gear compartments, cast aluminium, black finished body and black cast-aluminium wiring box.
Ideal for highlighting high tower installations, where powerful illumination with excellent colour rendering is required.
Used in isolation, the high intensity narrow beam is ideal for lighting architectural features without wasteful spillage of light on to surrounding details. Variation in beam achieved by a choice of front glass.

The large ballast and PFC capacitors are mounted remotely and only the ignitor is located in the rear control gearbox.
I don't have the original gear for it but it works fine with a 1000w SON and 400w MBF ballast wired in parallel to give the required current.
I used a simple push button to trigger the ignitor.

The same body is also used for the OSQ 150 which uses a 150w G12 metal halide lamp with integral control gear.
